Vasileios X. Spiliotopoulos was born in Athens in 1966. He studied Law in Germany, where he also attended courses in Sociology. In addition, he has taken Philosophy courses in England. He worked—and continues to work—as an entrepreneur. For many years, he contributed articles to various media outlets, writing pieces of historical as well as broader interest, including for To Vima tis Kyriakis, Protagon.gr, Lifo, and others. “A Stowaway of a Life” is his first historical novel, which was completed after many years of research.
During his life, he faced three different cancer diagnoses. He underwent surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments with remarkable resilience and perseverance. These profound experiences shaped not only his outlook on existence, mortality, and transformation, but also permeate the emotional and philosophical foundation of his writing.
His experience in the business world, shaped through decades of analytical and interpersonal activity, lends clarity and depth to his narrative voice.
